The Story Behind The Brand
The BBM Foundation was established with a heart for long-term impact and community empowerment. As part of our commitment to community, the Foundation created several sustainability projects designed to generate income that directly supports and strengthens our community programs (Bold Men Skills Program, Women Unleashed Skills Program, Youth Unleashed Skills Program & Bible Blossoms for Kids.
One of these initiatives is the BBM Community Market Group, launched in 2023. This subsidiary was created as a market coordination platform that brings communities together through informal trade, creating opportunities for small businesses, traders, and local entrepreneurs to thrive.
Our Core
The BBM Community Market Group focuses on hosting and coordinating community markets within shopping centres, churches and surrounding areas, providing accessible trading spaces that encourage economic participation, visibility, and connection. These markets are spaces where relationships are built, livelihoods are supported, and local economies are activated. Our pilot project, the Lyttelton Community Market launched May 2023 and we have since held other markets since then such as The Forest Hill Community Market at the Forest Hill City mall and the Gather & Grow Heritage Market at Fellowship City church. Our markets have become a consistent and welcoming space for traders and community members to connect, grow, and support one another, while also contributing to the sustainability of BBM Foundation’s broader mission.
